offensive subjects honestly, just about every single one you can imagine. fire punch is very heavy. for agni specific warnings, his narrative and character deal heavily with body horror, hyperviolence, PTSD, dissociation, gore, cannibalism, self harm, mutilation, incest, cultism and suicide. for the series at large, he comes from a world where rape, slavery, torture and abuse of all natures are the norm. it's an extremely bleak world state.

IC

age / occupation he's physically in his 20s or so, but due to the nature and severity of his trauma, he's mentally regressed to 15 in certain ways. after being released from the severe pain surrounding his physiology, he begins to catch up to his physical age bit by bit, but he's still incredibly childish.
visual with fire vs. without it. prior to being relieved of his fire, he's essentially 1) always naked 2) always on fire, with one half of his face cast in shadow and the other engulfed in flame. after, he's mostly just some really buff guy who happens to be capable of extreme cases of regeneration.
personality it's a lot. starting somewhere: self sacrificing, seemingly stoic but deeply volatile, and probably one of the most tortured creatures ever created. he doesn't know who he is. he only knows what he can do for other people. he is a "hero" in the worst ways. to say agni is unwell is the understatement of the century. he is lonely, desperate, codependent, extreme, and so, so fragmented. the part of him that craves normalcy and peace is at odds with the part of him that is overly familiar with pain, violence and cruelty. when threatened, or when those he loves are threatened, he is prone to experiencing dissociative states where he commits hyperviolence. he then enters periods of intense, suicidal guilt. agni does not want to live. but he has to. he loves deeply, but it's a constant point of pain. he is vulnerable, boyish and trapped in a constant string of lies in an attempt to preserve what he still has left. he physically and emotionally destroys himself on loop, and loses more of himself for it every time.
history every CW mentioned at the start of this post will be here, so please be wary. agni was born into a fascist, dystopian world where the land has frozen over at the hands of the "ice witch". there is a subsect of humans known as "the blessed", who are essentially human beings capable of regeneration and creating magic. these humans are used as "fuel", which is a form of slavery that tortures and exploits them for their abilities until they are eventually killed. agni and his sister luna are among the blessed, and their parents attempt to keep them safe in spite of the poverty they live in. they are killed, and agni and luna are taken in by a village. at a first glance, the village treats them decently-- but due to the food scarcity, agni and luna are put into a position where they have to feed the village by slicing off their regenerating flesh for them. luna is agni's one and only companion in the world. the village and luna are then killed by doma, the leader of behemdolg's army, for the sin of cannibalism. he sets agni on fire, and due to the strength of agni's regenerative abilities, he remains in a state of burning. for years, agni attempts to track down doma with the intention of killing him. but one day, he meets a man named togata, who is insistent that he let him film him so he can be the protagonist of his film. the plot begins from there and onward, and a cult of slaves freed by agni begin to regard him as their "god". a lot happens, but near the mid point of the story, agni's flames are done away with-- and he escapes the cult to live as "brother", an ordinary and amnesiac man who lives with a compound of women he regards as his sisters alongside one who resembles luna very closely. he begins to adjust to normalcy, but he grows depressed in a different way, unable to escape the shadow of his past and the hatred and worship humanity feels towards him. as the burning, vengeful man, agni (now brother) was referred to as "fire punch". fire punch is still reviled by the world while his cult continues to invoke him as god. in order to keep the newfound peace he's attained, even if he lives in misery in spite of it, agni goes to desperate lengths to "kill fire punch" and ensure the man he was before does not come to light.
timeline in threads, i'll generally be taking him post perma-fire state, so he'll have more cognizance.

SHIPS

SHIP PREFS
i'm interested in this, but it's going to be complicated. agni is not capable of experiencing conventional kinds of romance/sexuality. it is a very strange and twisted and odd thing for him due to the state of trauma he exists within. he is codependent, obsessive, suicidal and prone to world-breaking violence for the sake of who he loves. he also muddles familial and romantic boundaries, as his sister was his primary source of love from a young age. there is also no "fixing" agni or getting him to domestic bliss. he is incredibly fucked up and cannot escape that.
